Before choosing a pack size, consider whether this will be your everyday coffee or an occasional pleasure. Then choose a type to suit your brewing method. Your own grinder lets you prepare beans just before use and adjust the grind size. Ground coffee needs to suit your equipment; ask us before buying if you are unsure.
Discovering coffee does not require a collection of specialist equipment. Start with a brewer you know and its instructions. Measure out the coffee, prepare the water, brew and take a moment to taste. At the next cup, it will be easier to decide whether to change anything. What matters is that the ritual suits you.

Pour-over
Start with a paper filter, rinse it and discard the rinse water. Pour evenly over the coffee, following a recipe for your dripper.
French press
This method immerses ground coffee in water, then separates the grounds with a filtered plunger. Choose the grind and brewing time according to your brewer’s instructions.
Moka pot
Use a grind intended for a moka pot and do not tamp the coffee in the basket. Follow your model’s instructions for the water level, heating and use.
